TGTT TEAM AND OUR COMMUNITY MOVEMENT

At The Grove Think Tank CIC, we’re ready for something better. Based in North Kensington, West London our transformative Community Movement mobilizes people from all over to support expanding and bringing ideas to life and creating solutions together. We take action and create a meaningful and lasting impact through our creative engagement and project management support we provide to local residents and grass roots community groups.

 

Dayo Gilmour is our founder and Director of The Grove Think Tank CIC (TGTT). 

Dayo is very hands on and a design creator from weaving, a passion for felting. Her experience stems from working with many Italian designers in her career.

Andreia Oliveira Miguel is our Ideas Expansion Consultant known as D.O.A.T (Dreia of all Trades - bit like Jill of all Trades...)

D.O.A.T Connects has 30 years of personal life experience and 13 years of real community work. D.O.A.T Connects has a vast experience within the sports and fitness industry to community development, law enforcement, security and events experience and working as a civil servant with and in Local Authorities in London since 2011. Through all of this, the creation of an Ideas Expansion Consultant came to be as D.O.A.T. 

D.O.A.T Connects is all about connecting people to what they need, be it activities or services but mainly supporting in expanding your ideas into reality. And the link with the The Grove Think Tank Tank is, Andreia is one of the Directors, providing voluntary services through the TGTT whilst doing other work elsewhere. Through the same passions as others in TGTT, Andreia connected with Dayo as the main goal of TGTT is to create real solutions together hence why all our partnerships marry up together.

Andreia is also on a Mind Health Training to become a Mind Health Practitioner and trainer to support others in the long term through our collaborator - The Orassy Health Ltd. Find out more about this in the Orassy Health page.

 

We are building the North Ken Direct; a modern-day directory of local community services available as an interactive tool that can be populated by the individual/organisations delivering or by the user to inform others of what is available nearby.

 As The Grove Think Tank CIC, we are a peer to peer network open to all in North Kensington. We aim to provide ongoing support in research and development to identify the needs of our North Kensington community and work towards delivering solutions together as a healthier, resilient and autonomous community.

We work closely with other sole traders, grass roots community groups, community organisations and support with any signposting needed as cross working is essential when it comes to ground work.

We are current sponsoring four grass roots groups and community organisations as their 'sponsor' in supporting to deliver their project that has been funded through Round 2 of Grenfell Projects Fund through The Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea funding that was allocated by local residents by an online voting process.

​

As The Grove Think Tank we will advertise local grassroots projects, activities, workshops that are taking place as sharing information in communities is invaluable.

​We understand that across many communities it is difficult to find information that is available gathered all in one place.​
